MAN Truck & Bus SE

Ultramodern vehicles, sustainable solutions

MAN Truck & Bus SE simplifies its customers’ business with reliable, state-of-the-art commercial vehicles and intelligent, sustainable transport solutions.

MAN is one of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in Europe. The product portfolio includes vans, trucks, buses, diesel and gas engines as well as services for passenger and freight transport. MAN Truck & Bus is a TRATON SE company and employs around 33,000 people worldwide.

MAN has anchored the topic of sustainability in its corporate strategy for 2022 and is committed to achieving greenhouse gas neutrality on its balance sheet by 2050. The company has pledged to do this as part of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) climate protection initiative. As a first step, 70% of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are to be reduced at the global sites by 2030 compared to 2019. The most important component of the greenhouse gas reduction strategy is decarbonization through the electrification of the fleet. For example, vans with electric drives and electric buses are already available to customers in various variants. MAN sold a total of 771 electric buses in 2023, making it the market leader for electric buses in Europe. Sales of the heavy-duty e-truck started in autumn 2023, with 700 orders and order enquiries already received shortly afterwards. Series production is scheduled to start in 2025.

Autonomous commercial vehicles are leading to a radical transformation of the business model for commercial vehicle customers – automation is a game changer. This is why MAN is developing and testing automated driving applications together with partners from science and industry. In this way, MAN is becoming a provider of intelligent and sustainable transport solutions.
