Christian Levin was born in 1967. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business & Administration and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In 1994, Christian Levin started his career as a management trainee with Scania CV AB. He held a number of management positions at Scania, including Director of Product Marketing as well as Managing Director of Italscania. In 2010, Christian Levin was named Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Operations of Scania CV AB. From 2016 to 2019, Christian Levin was Executive Vice President and Head of Sales & Marketing at Scania CV AB. He has been a member of the Executive Board of TRATON SE since 2019. Until April 2021, he was responsible for Research & Development as well as for Procurement (Chief Operating Officer). He is Chief Executive Officer of Scania CV AB since May 2021 and Chief Executive Officer of TRATON SE since October 2021.
Dr. Michael Jackstein
Member of the Executive Board of TRATON SE, responsible for Finance and Business Development as well as Human Resources
Dr. Michael Jackstein was born in Kassel, Germany, in 1977. After earning his degree in business administration, he has worked as a research assistant and head of tutoring programs at the University of Göttingen. Once he had earned his doctorate at the Institute for Production and Investment Research in Business Administration (corporate planning department) in Göttingen at the end of 2008, he joined the controlling department of Volkswagen AG, where he also took on a management position later on. In mid-2012, he became assistant to the Board of Management for Group Finance and Controlling at Volkswagen. Beginning in October 2015, Dr. Jackstein was the head of the office of the chairperson of the Volkswagen AG Supervisory Board. Since April 2023, he has been a member of the Executive Board of TRATON SE, responsible for Finance and Business Development as well as Human Resources.
Catharina Modahl Nilsson
Member of the Executive Board of TRATON SE, responsible for Group Product Management
Catharina Modahl Nilsson was born in 1963. She holds a Master of Science in Vehicle Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. In 1987, Modahl Nilsson started her career as a trainee with Saab-Scania. She held a number of management positions at Scania CV AB, including Project Director/Head of Project Management Office and Engineering Director Cab Development. In 2016, Modahl Nilsson was named Head of Chassis, Cab, Complete Vehicle, and Bus in the TRATON GROUP. From 2019 to 2021, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Permobil Group. In January 2022, Modahl Nilsson took over as Head of Group Product Management in the TRATON GROUP. Since April 2023, she has been a member of the Executive Board of TRATON SE, responsible for TRATON Group Product Management.
Alexander Vlaskamp

Alexander Vlaskamp was born in 1971. He graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering before he joined Scania in 1997 as Manager Pre-Sales at Scania Deutschland GmbH. Between 2002 and 2007 Alexander Vlaskamp was Director After-Sales Germany-Austria at the same company. After working as Managing Director at Scania Polska S.A. from 2008 until 2012 he returned to Germany. During 2012 and 2017 Alexander Vlaskamp was Managing Director at Business Unit Germany Austria at Scania Deutschland Österreich. In 2017 he moved to Sweden and took up the position as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, he was appointed Executive Vice President, Head of Sales and Marketing. Since November 2021 Alexander Vlaskamp has taken over the responsibility as Chairman of the Executive Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE. In addition, Alexander Vlaskamp was appointed to the Executive Board of TRATON SE.
Mathias Carlbaum

Mathias Carlbaum was born in 1972. He holds a Master of Business Administration, and joined Scania as a management trainee in 1997. Carlbaum has extensive experience in international sales and marketing. Since 2001, he has held a number of management positions in Scania’s market organization including Managing Director of Scania Ibérica and Managing Director of Scania do Brasil. In 2016, Mathias Carlbaum was named Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Operation of Scania CV AB. Since April 2021, he was leading the post-merger management of International Motors on behalf of TRATON GROUP. He became Chief Executive Officer of International Motors in September 2021, and became a member of the Executive Board of TRATON SE in October 2021.
Antonio Roberto Cortes

Antonio Roberto Cortes was born in São Paulo (Brazil) in 1955.
Cortes studied business and finance, and began his career in the auto industry in 1979. He cofounded Autolatina, a joint venture between Ford and Volkswagen in Brazil and Argentina. Cortes headed up the Business Strategy unit at Ford in Detroit (USA) from 1989 to 1990. After the dissolution of Autolatina in 1994, he took over the position of Corporate Controller for South America at Volkswagen. In 1998, he led the transition of Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus to an independent business unit and took charge of the South American business in 2000. Two years later, Cortes was named Executive Vice President of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
Antonio Roberto Cortes has been CEO of MAN Latin America Ltda. since 2009. He is also a member of the Executive Board at TRATON SE.
TRATON Truck Board
Within the TRATON GROUP, the TRATON Truck Board is the extended management team and, in addition to the six members of the Executive Board, comprises three further members for the areas of purchasing, production & logistics and research & development (R&D).
Niklas Klingenberg

Niklas Klingenberg was born in 1975. He holds a Master of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering. Niklas Klingenberg joined Scania in 2001. He was previously Senior Vice President R&D, Truck Chassis, Cab and Bus Development. Before that, he held several positions within purchasing, both in Södertälje, Sweden and São Paulo, Brazil. Since November 2023, he has been responsible for R&D on the TRATON Truck Board, the extended management team of TRATON SE.
Murat Aksel

Murat Aksel was born in 1972. After studying at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, he began his professional career in 1998, when he joined the purchasing department at Opel in Rüsselsheim. Murat Aksel assumed responsible functions in supply chain management for General Motors and Fiat in Turin, Italy in 2001, and for General Motors in Shanghai, China in 2008. He held several management positions at the BMW Group, including as Division Manager for Purchasing and Supplier Network and as Process Chain Manager for Vehicle Dynamics and Integration. In 2020, he moved to Volkswagen, where he took up the position in the purchasing department of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand as a member of the Board of Management. In 2021, as Chief Purchasing Officer of the Volkswagen Group, he assumed overall responsibility within the Volkswagen Group for the management of materials purchasing and the provision of services. Murat Aksel has been a member of the Executive Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE since January 2023 and is responsible for procurement. Since April 2023, he has been responsible for purchasing on the TRATON Truck Board, the extended management team of TRATON SE.
Stefan Palmgren
Member of the TRATON Truck Board, Head of Production & Logistics at TRATON, Executive Vice President Production & Logistics of International Motors
Stefan Palmgren was born in 1963. He holds a Master of Science in mechanical engineering and production systems from the Royal Institute of Technology KTH in Stockholm, Sweden, and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College, Thayer School of Engineering in Hanover, New Hampshire. Stefan Palmgren held various roles at Scania since he joined the company as a production trainee in 1983. In addition to his time served at Scania in Sweden, Stefan Palmgren worked as Chief Technology Officer of Production, Research & Development and Purchasing at Scania São Paulo. Stefan Palmgren has extensive experience in production, manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain management. For 12 years, he served as Head of Powertrain Production at Scania based in Södertälje, Sweden. In this role, he was responsible for Powertrain Production and was integral in launching TRATON’s first modular product at Scania. Most recently, Stefan Palmgren was the Head of Industrial Operations Production in the TRATON GROUP. He continues to serve in this role, coordinating the Group Production Strategy and optimizing the global footprint. Since June 2023, he has been the Executive Vice President, Production and Logistics of International Motors. He is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of all manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics activities. Since April 2023, he has been responsible for production & logistics on the TRATON Truck Board, the extended management team of TRATON SE.
