My Journey to TFS
I joined TFS in February 2024. Prior to that, I worked in the banking industry for many years and during that time, I became familiar with TRATON. Through a course at the Stockholm School of Economics, I met TRATON employees who were very satisfied with their employer. Almost ten years later, when the opportunity to join TRATON Financial Services arose, I remembered those conversations. I was hopeful that the culture would be similar to what I had heard, and it turned out to be true. It was also the first time I dared to join a company with a physical product, and I haven't regretted it for a single day!

The value of inclusion
Diversity and inclusion are what make me proud to work at TFS. Here, I can always be myself and never feel forced to adapt. It's so nice that you fit in all the time! Here, you are judged on your competence and nothing else. One reason may be that I have the best team in the world. Everyone is so different, and it's so lovely and enriching!

Our culture
At TFS, you can be yourself. Even though we are geographically close to one of the companies in the TRATON GROUP, at TFS we try to think in a broader and newer way. We cultivate a distinct and forward-thinking approach, where we openly discuss our ongoing development and how we leverage the unique strengths of each individual to benefit the entire organization.

Our departments

Behind every successful company is a network of dedicated teams. We invite you to explore our departments, each focused on supporting our growth and ensuring our stability. Click to learn more about our team's expertise!

  • TFS Treasury secures and manages funding for TRATON Financial Services, ensuring financing under the most appropriate format in different jurisdictions and as competitively priced as possible. Our department is divided into two main functions: Internal Bank and Structured Funding, each playing a critical role in managing TFS’s financial infrastructure. Together, the Internal Bank and Structured Finance teams ensure that TFS has the right balance of internal and external funding solutions to meet its operational and growth needs, while maintaining adherence under Treasury Policy and compliance with credit agency requirements.

  • The Internal Bank is responsible for managing the daily financial activities of the TRATON Treasury AB Balance Sheet. TRATON Treasury AB primarily serves as an intercompany funding vehicle, with most external interfaces occur through TRATON SE and TRATON Finance Luxembourg. Its responsibilities include providing intercompany financing from TRATON Treasury AB to TFS Business Units, conducting the issuance of bonds and commercial papers from TRATON Finance Luxembourg in coordination with TRATON SE Treasury to meet funding needs, and hedging Foreign exchange and interest risks associated with these financial activities to minimize exposure. Additionally, the Internal Bank ensures effective management of the consolidated net liquidity across the group and is responsible for balancing and managing the TFS cash pool (ING/BMG).

  • The Structured Funding unit is tasked with exploring, developing and implementing external funding strategies complementary to internal bank funding for the benefit of local TFS BU:s around the globe. The aim is to diversify the funding base of TRATON Financial Services beyond internal bank funding based on central DCM programs, as required to sustainably support the growth ambitions of all TFS brands, and to achieve the most competitive overall funding support for the different BU:s. Such external funding initiatives may range from local bank facilities to ABS (asset-backed securitization), local bond issuances, joint venture-type of arrangements and other forms of collaboration with relevant external partners. The ambition is also to enable and facilitate the development and execution of new business models, e.g. XaaS offerings.
