For the locals, the reborn wildlife in Billsta stream is the icing on the cake. Most importantly, they are proud of being at the forefront of the drive to develop sustainable transport systems for the future. The electrical bus project in Östersund shows that public transport can be combined with modern environmental requirements, efficient renewable hydropower and stringent ecological standards. In partnership and cooperation with different stakeholders, a solution has been developed that benefits not only the energy and transport industries, but also the environment.
